How to Begin ABA Therapy

We understand that navigating the process of beginning ABA therapy can feel overwhelming. That is why we have developed a clear, structured enrollment pathway designed to guide your family through each stage with confidence and ease:

Step 1: Submit Your Inquiry

Your journey begins with a simple online inquiry form that can be completed in under two minutes. This initial step allows our team to learn about your family and begin connecting you with the right clinical support.

Following submission, a dedicated member of our intake team will contact you within 24 business hours to introduce themselves, answer any initial questions, and outline the steps ahead.

Step 2: Response from Intake

During this initial consultation, our intake coordinator will take the time to learn about your family’s specific circumstances — including your child’s background, current concerns, developmental history, and scheduling preferences — ensuring we are fully prepared to tailor our services to your unique needs.

Step 3: Diagnostic Requirement

A formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), issued by a licensed clinical professional such as a psychologist or developmental pediatrician, is required by most insurance providers as a prerequisite for authorizing ABA therapy services. If your child has already received a formal diagnosis, simply forward the documentation to our team, and we will proceed promptly to the next stage of the enrollment process.

If a diagnosis has not yet been obtained, our team can provide referrals to trusted diagnostic professionals in our network, ensuring this step does not become a barrier to the support your child needs.

Step 4: Insurance Verification

Upon providing a copy of your insurance card, our billing specialists will perform a thorough verification of your plan’s benefits — confirming your coverage eligibility, applicable co-pays, and any authorization requirements specific to ABA therapy services.

Step 5: Comprehensive Initial Assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will administer a standardized, multi-domain assessment to establish a comprehensive baseline of your child’s current abilities across communication, behavior, social development, and daily living skills — forming the clinical foundation for all subsequent treatment planning.

Based on the assessment findings, our clinical team will develop a fully individualized treatment plan with measurable goals built around your child’s strengths, areas for growth, and your family’s priorities.

Step 6: Insurance Authorization

The completed individualized treatment plan is formally submitted to your insurance provider for prior authorization of services. Our team actively monitors the authorization process and initiates therapy programming promptly upon confirmation of approval.

Step 7: Direct Therapy Sessions

Our direct sessions focus on targeted skill-building, behavior support, and functional goal achievement — all guided by evidence-based ABA strategies. Throughout therapy, the supervising BCBA conducts scheduled session observations, performs ongoing analysis of clinical data, and delivers structured parent training sessions. This level of oversight ensures therapeutic fidelity, promotes the generalization of acquired skills, and maintains alignment between the treatment plan and your child’s evolving needs. Generalization of skills across home, school, and community settings.

Step 8: Progress Monitoring & Reassessment

Comprehensive clinical data is recorded during every therapy session and is regularly and structurally reviewed by the supervising BCBA. As your child achieves established goals or as clinical priorities shift, the treatment plan is updated and refined accordingly — ensuring that therapy remains precisely calibrated to your child’s needs and continues to drive meaningful, measurable outcomes at every stage of the process.
